Privacy
What this site collects, what it publishes, and what it deliberately does not do.
Draft for review. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal advice. It is a starting point for the directory's owner to adapt before launch.
What visitors give us
Browsing the directory requires no account and no personal information. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
What businesses give us
- Published — everything in the public part of a listing: name, description, category, location or service area, hours, photos, and the contact details the business chose to make public.
- Kept private — the submitter's name, email, and phone number, the signed attestation, and any internal review notes. These are visible only to directory administrators and are never shown on the public site or included in the sitemap.
Analytics
Analytics are first-party and aggregate only. We keep a daily count of how many times each page was opened, and how many times visitors tapped a listing's phone number, website, directions or booking link. That is the whole of it.
- No cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics service.
- No IP address, device or browser details are stored with a count.
- Query strings are discarded before a path is recorded, so what you searched for is never kept.
- Administration, API and submission pages are never counted.
- If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is sent at all.
Because no identifier is stored, these counts cannot be traced back to a person — including by us.
Security
- Unpublished listings are not reachable publicly at any address.
- Administrator access requires a signed session that expires and is checked on the server for every action.
- Uploaded images are re-encoded before storage, and file type and size are enforced server-side.
Your choices
A business can ask to see, correct, or delete everything we hold about its listing, including the private submitter details. Email us and we will act on it.
